I have actually sold off my 35mm f1.8g as I was hoping to get a wider field of view with the 28mm f1.8g...but not very sure if the field of view is appreciably wider and thus am looking also at the new Sigma 18-35mm f1.8g which is not available on Nikon mount yet....

Manage to call up quite a few shops and it seems like the Nikon mount version has not arrived on our shore yet :(

Besides the Nikon 28mm having a wider angle of view, if compare features for features, which is the better lens?

After going thru all the suggestions, I'm leaning towards the Nikon 28mm f1.8g or Sigma 35mm f1.4 with both lens at about the same price pt....again appreciate your comments on which lens to get for my D7100. many thanks

Thanks for all the comments...really appreciate it. I'm a complete novice when it comes to photography but have just upgraded my camera from D50 to D7100. I already have the 18-200 DX VRI lens from my D50 and am trying to get a suitable prime lens to complement my extg lens mainly for indoor...

From all the above comments, it seems that Sigma 35 f1.4 is the lens to get...can anyone advise on the pricing of the lens...Thanks
