Doesnt make sense to buy a 24-70 for use on a D90. The kit lens 18-105 already covers the range. Price of 24-70 will be higher than the price of D90 + kit lens.

if you are looking for a travel "all-in-one" lens, perhaps can consdier Tamron 18-270? the extra 70mm at the extended range can be significant. In terms of pci quality, probably on-par with 18-200.
