Got it from Cathay Photo for $1299 with GST. Other stores that I asked are going for about $1320 and above. One with their own $30 voucher w/o the $100 Canon voucher.. Also CP gave a 16GB SanDisk Ultra instead of the usual 8GB that the other stores are offering.

Yah, i notice about the lining thingy. I bought it from ebay for SGD$10 odd. I took precaution when i first screw it on and rotate it. I just sand paper the little part that was in contact with the body and it's done deal :) My mind not willing to spend so much on a collar which doesn't aid...

As mentioned by Kingpin8, neither local nor grey may have this problems as it's still manufacture from the only factory in Japan. Best to test before you purchase. Yes they allowed me to test, just tell them you wanna get but you would like to test if their lens/lenses are having this...

Also to add, if you like to take pics across the dinner table (normal makan 1-1 dining table in restaurants). You can't really use the 50mm as you need to push back the chair/arch back to get the subject in frame.
