    My vacation to Phuket, Thailand

Its a Log...shot in Phuket (kata beach)...your super expensive 17-55 must be really upset then :-)) (In my case it was the lowly 18-55, so it was OK) .....I didn't miss 2.8 at all on 10-22...most of the time I was shooting f8 anyway for beaches etc !! During sunsets, the tripod is out and again...

    Punggol Sunrise

Superb shots....how much processing was done? - some seem just a shade over the top but really dramatic, if that was the effect u wanted !!

    My vacation to Phuket, Thailand

I was there in 2nd Week of Oct - still a bit rainy (so not much of bright blue sky) but one of the best white sand beaches (in Phi Phi and nearby islands) and most stunning blue-green sea .... I rented Canon 10-22 for my 500D to go with my 55-250, 18-55 and 50 mm 1.8 (the usual boring...

    Shots from Marina

I was also there a few weeks ago and almost all your shots were atttempted by me too, LOL....:-) (will not hijack this thread by posting mine) My learning fromr that night was that as the sky keeps getting dark, u need to dial in some -EV, else the sky comes out brownish (as in your last shot)

    Canon Sling Bag

So true....my 500D came with standard Canon bag, which also has a poor stitching on the shoulder pad and already disintegrating. Time to buy something else (the 55-250 was already tight in that bag anyways). Any suggestions on a decent backpack which doesn't cost a bomb?

Share some Japanese lens RF shots 1....

Pardon me for asking but can you tell if the bokeh in this image (and in your Canon 50 mm 1.2 images as well) are touched up in PP. I find them very "unique" - they both look very similar. Would you mind telling what camera did u use?

Need help in converting my Sony Analog Cam tapes

First up - I am sorry if this is the wrong place to post this. I came to Singapore just about 8 months ago. I have a bunch of Sony Analog Hi8 Camcorder tapes lying around. The cam that produced them is still with me in working order (though not sure for how long in the humid weather here)...

How does "electrical adjustment" mean at CSC?

Wow, you sure have friends in the right places :-) Well, my 50 mm still does better in CD focus using Live View (used EOS utility and my laptop) than using One Shot AF. I tried it last week with indoor night light snaps across many shots. Still need to try in day light though.
