I tend to prefer primes, however, when travelling, changing lenses might be a hassle.
I guess one question you can ask is can you accept the "drop" in image quality if you use the 12-40 to replace everything. And can you accept the limitations of lower light capabilities compared to F1.8? Bokeh?
Hello kcgwei, going down to the stores and trying out the cameras is definitely a great suggestion by Octarine and an important first step. You may like a camera by reading specs sheets and seeing product images but totally hate its ergonomics or menu system.
Definitely do try cameras out...
Wow...I thought it was because of my recent trip to Korea that caused it.
My phone (Xperia Z1 Compact) is also slower, but by 6 minutes (Singtel), switched to manual.
Just came back from Korea, and I'd like to add that I didn't do the zip-lock bag thing. I basically had my EPL6 slung on my shoulders going up snow mountains, entering warm places and there was no condensation at all. Temperatures ranged from 3 to sub 11.
Batteries lasted way longer than I...
Perhaps it might have been better to put the watermark elsewhere like at the bottom of the picture? I was wondering if those white stuff were part of her legs, or makeup or watermark...
Wait wait..there's a difference between sharp and in-focus isn't it?
You can be focused on your subject, but the rendering from the lens causes it to not be sharp. Or your lens renders very sharply but you're out of focus.
I'd say this is out of focus rather than being not sharp...but I don't...
First reason, I I refuse to believe that dSLR = good picture.
Second, I didn't want to lug a heavy dSLR camera and heavy lenses, even though it is arguable that there are small & light dSLRs around.
Third, I wanted a small(er) system that is capable enough. Are there limitations I wish were...
I have the VF4 and it's awesome...but it does add a bit of bulk to the camera (EPL6) though.
I wear glasses too, no problems. Though you might lose sight of the corners if your glasses protrude from your face quite a bit...
Yes to your question.
Step 1. Buy EPL6 Body Only
Step 2. Buy 17mm lens.
Step 3. Attach 17mm lens to EPL6 Camera Body.
Step 4. Enjoy
To further clarify, there is no EPL6 + 17mm kit.
