well, if you have need longer focal length, a gd tele on a 40D (or any crop camera for tt matter) will give you a longer reach than a FF. walked by some bird watchers at the SBG, and was just wondering if they would deliberately keep a crop just for that reason.

i guess you can put any filter on any lens if the size is right, but if you're going to take close ups (im thinking macro?) it'll prob not work too well on a zoom tele due to low light. there are specialised macro lenses, and other alternatives to take close ups. a 75-300 should be 58mm.

i like this too :) when i was looking at this picture a couple of captions came to mind on how in the midst of the abandonment of the place as suggested by the thrown down statues and severed statue head, the young plant suggests a new beginning. maybe 'hope/life springs eternal' ..or...
