    Singtel 3G network speed

From yesterday's paper, apparently IDA is stepping in on this issue. They seem to want ISP to advertise based on average instead of maximum speed. Yeah consumer wins!

    singtel 3G down?

At peak hour? Depending on location and time, this happens very often for me. At my work place the connection is intermittent (I have full 3G reception), this is what I am getting now: Can anyone beat this? :-p

    Singtel 3G network speed

Bingo. The problem I see is, for ISP, home or mobile, advertising "upto x mbps", they don't seem to be obliged by any rules and regulations to provide a minimum bandwidth. What I foresee is if they don't keep their customer happy enough and the problem would lead to some kind of tightening of...

    Singtel 3G network speed

I am no expert but I don't think the length of the cable matters, considering the length of wire before the socket, what comes after the socket seems pretty insignificant. Outside my workplace, and excluding all the underground MRT tunnel/station I do get generally good connection.

    Singtel 3G network speed

Never used Starhub mobile broadband, but I thought their home broadband is inferior to SingTel's and M1's. I have been with Singtel for years and never have issue at the location, may be the infrastructures couldn't keep up with the smartphone trend.

    Singtel 3G network speed

It used to be fine, but for the last few weeks or so this is what I have been getting at my workplace with full reception. Often it refuses to move and I'd rather switch to 2G which is slow but at least it moves.

    Need help setting up router

Guys, I put the Linksys AM300 ADSL modem on "bridge only" mode, VPI=0, VCI=100, DHCP off. The Linksys WRT54GC router to PPPoE mode with DHCP on. Now it worked perfect. If I were to put the Linksys AM300 ADSL modem on PPPoE mode, what mode should I put the router in? There isn't a bridge mode...

    Need help setting up router

Thanks for the research, which prompted my other research, which made my Linksys AM300 ADSL modem works! It turned out that I need to set VPI=0 and VCI=100. Those numbers are for Singnet but I guess there is a chance that it would work since M1 connects through Singtel. Next will be the...

    Need help setting up router

I didn't know that, I always thought all cable modems are simply plug and play and no setup required.

    Need help setting up router

So you can plug the modem on one of the many ethernet port instead of the "uplink" port?

    Need help setting up router

Technically I only own the Linksys AM300 modem that I used with SNBB. The other 2 are "rented" from Starhub and M1 respectively.
