Is there any place to snap planes departing WSSS?

Hi, am new here... JAL_B787_JA827J.jpg by mdkbmi, on Flickr Anyway, what kind of lens (Canon body) is good enough for snapping planes? IS the Canon EF-S 55-250mm good? Thanks :)
