"Error" message on my digital indicator panel and shutter problem

I faced this problem for the 1st time last week after using my D80 for 1 1/2 years. Nothing happened when I press on the shutter and I reset the camera and it works again (maybe just coincidental). But I have not been using the D80 after that. When this problem happened, the next thing on my...

    Help Pls! Taking Baby Photos

When our daughter was born I was using a Panasonic FX01 back in 2006. When she turned 6 months I bought the Fujifilm F31fd, although I really like it, it was still slow for our daughter as she was already moving quite a bit. Hence, upgraded to a DSLR - initially a D40 but that couldn't AF a...

    Prime Lens for taking Babies

I am using a D80 and besides the 18-135 kit, the only other lens I have is the 50 1.8. For me, it's a no brainer to buy the 50 1.8 because it's cheap and light and serves my photographic purpose although at times, I admit it's rather restrictive but I use it to shoot portraits of our daughter...

    Advise for Baby Phototaking

I was using a point and shoot when my daughter was born and soon realised that it isn't fast enough and then got a D40 with 18-55mm kit lens which served my purpose until I wanted good bokeh (at a budget). Sold off the D40 June this year and got the D80 with 18-135mm kit plus AF 50mm 1.8D and...

Auto Focus with ML-L3 remote on D80

No, I checked. When I half press the shutter, the 18-135 auto-focuses but when I use the remote, it only releases the shutter.

Auto Focus with ML-L3 remote on D80

Hi all. I realised that when I use the ML-L3 wireless remote on the D80, it auto focuses and takes the shot when I have the Nikkor AF 50mm f/1.8D lens on but not with the Nikkor AF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6G IF-ED DX kit lens. Just want to check if other D80 users experience the same. Cheers!

Nikon AFD 50mm/f1.8 - What is this lens best used for?

This lens is one of the main reasons why I bought the D80 and sold off my D40. Have this lens on the D80 most of the times because I usually shoot portraits of our daughter. I love the bokeh where our daughter stands out clearly against the blurred background. Plus this lens is metal mount...

    D80 P-Mode Confusion in changing Av/Tv values.

Ace! Great info. I always have auto iso on. It didn't work with my D40 n doesn't seem to work with my D80. And you've solved this mystery for me but i have yet to try it out.

In search for a small bag for D80 + 18-135 kit

cheers guys for your feedbacks. I forget to mention that it's lowepro REZO TLZ 20. I quite prefer d quick-release buckle compared to the zipper. If someone could let me know of the price, i'd appreciate it greatly. cheers!
