Just curious here : does anyone know where I can find Kodak Portra NC? I've found Portra VC at Ruby, but that's way too much colour. (http://tinyurl.com/2bc4lt) Personally, I shoot plenty of Kodak Tri-X (convenient, can be pushed, wonderful grain) and some Reala. I've shot slide before too...

nope, doesn't sound normal. Even my rather basic scanner takes strips of up to 6 frames. Might want to stay away from this guy, because for auto-fed scanners at mini-labs, you'll need anything between 2-4 frames to feed it.

Dunno whether it's vaporware ... but AFAIK, the older cousin, RED One, has been demo-ed before... *drool* ... I really like the idea of intercheangeable lenses, viewfinders, formats, etc... Admittedly though, the cameras don't like they're big on ergonomics... STILL. must ... start ...

For clarification, the lens comes with both the standard front and back caps. That is, the black Nikon front cap with "Nikon" printed on it, and the white rear cap. The black rear cap in the pics are just used to prop the lens up. Sorry for the confusion :P

Was that film? Ooooo ... It's really harsh, the contrast. If it is... probably Tri-X pushed really hard or a T-Max 100 ... If neither, then it's been drowned in too much developer for too long...
