    Mac or PC

    For photo related work, I would recommend macs as for beginner level, you could start using iPhoto (bundled) for simple touch up. For advance stuff, photoshop runs way faster on a mac (bonus if you're buying the new macbook/pro) and Apple Aperture only works on mac. Anyway why not get a mac...
