Playing back on the camera isn't a problem. The weirdness only starts when I read or download off the card reader. In all probability it is the card. Although I hadn't done any rigorous checks.

Sorry to hijack this thread but it's now my turn to report on xD antics Been using a 1GB H with my F31fd without a hitch for a year or so. In the past weeks or so I noticed that the capacity had suddenly shrunk. Could shoot & download so I didn't give it much thought. Then photos disappeared...

This series of cameras are known to be noisy in focusing - particularly in macros. Usually doesn't bother me. Thing is to nail the shot, right. If noisy and can't focus then truly susah!
