Ayutthaya in the eye of Samsung Galaxy Note 2

Before I could walk around, there was already tour operator approached me. Autthaya is a town, so it is impossible to walk around on foot. I paid this gentelan S$40 for about 3 hours job to shuttle me around Ayutthaya. He will fetch you around to the attractions but that money exclude entrance...

Ayutthaya in the eye of Samsung Galaxy Note 2

I went to Thailand for meeting and made a unplanned day trip to Ayutthaya. I didnt bring my camera as I did not plan for this trip. But since I made a trip there, I used my Samsung Galaxy phone to take some photos. I took a MRT to Hua Lomphong station, from there I took a train from...

Nikon 24-70mm on DX vs Nikon 17-55mm

Certainly not ging to switch to FX as I am very happy with my D7000. Thanks to all of you for your inputs and advice. I have decided to stick to my 17-55mm. At most send in for a cleaning and replace the rubber ring to give it a new feel and look. appreciate your feedback.

Nikon 24-70mm on DX vs Nikon 17-55mm

Daredevil, Thanks for your reply, and even provided with the illustrations. hmmm, now I have more justification to stick to my 17-55mm. Catchlights, agree. Even from a casual photographer POV like myself, I will continue to stick to pro lens. But though hard to let go, still feel itchy to...

Nikon 24-70mm on DX vs Nikon 17-55mm

Thanks Endous, agree with you on the zoom ring but I am quite use to it now, so not a problem even whenI switch lens around. Thanks Daredevil, good point about the "illusion " due to thinner DoF. May be that is the reason I kept thinking 24-70mm is sharper. i shall pay attention next time...

Hi all, have been D70 ->D80 -> happy user of a D7000 today. Still have a Tamron 17-50mm F2.8.Sharp lens but slow and noisy. I also own a Nikon 17-55mm F2.8. Quiet and fast SWM. But have been thinking to change to 24-70mm F2.8 for better sharpness. So could experience users please provide...

D7000 slow in continuous shoot mode - help needed with THANKS!

Yeekai, thanks for your pointers too. I went into custom setting menu and found this "shooting display" , D11, "exposure delay", it does slow down my D7000 in burst mode. I found this explanation in the manual.."........select ON to delay shutter release until about 1 sec after the shutter...

D7000 slow in continuous shoot mode - help needed with THANKS!

No we are not trying to do bust mode in a "dark area". Strangely, mine has the same setting, point to anything that the cam could focus it would work even under florescent light condition(becos auto ISO up to 3200 should allow the cam to go at a reasonable shutter speed). But my friend's cam...

D7000 slow in continuous shoot mode - help needed with THANKS!

hi, so shutter speed should be controlled by the cam CPU in P mode. By the way, both cam set to auto ISO, max up at 32000. So should not be shutterspeed problem. at least not 1second per frame. It is really very slow, far far slower than 6 fps as compare with mine. Thanks for your advice...
