    70-200mm usefulness

Recently went to seam reap with my 70-200. It was definitely worth it lugging this heavy lens along. Captured most of my favourite pics using this lens. Used it for candid portraits and the lens proved indispensible when I was on a boat tour as most of the subjects will be quite far away. If you...

    Daybreak at Pandan

Never thought of that. Maybe I could try that out when I go back again though I will probably need to reverse the vertical column of the tripod and prone on the ground to shoot that.. :bsmilie:

    Daybreak at Pandan

Used the chair to create foreground interest. Agree that if the flats were not there, it would have been nicer. By the way, the chair is wooden. ;)

Feel free for C&C. C&C is a good way to improve and look at things differently.

How to verify VR function is working?

For visual method, zoom to longest focal length. Look thru viewfinder with VR on and turn VR off and look again. There should be noticable differences when VR is on at 200mm.

Can D60 use Nikon lens 70-300G?

I have the 70-300G. Its optical performance is good enough for its price. I used it once to shoot a football game once and it was very hard to use at longer focal lengths. I did not have a tripod with me and had to stabilize it on a water bottle. Without AF, I think you will be limited to...

[extreme boredom] my trashbin loves me

    1. You got it but I think nightmare meant the timer. U set the timer and get into position before the shutter opens. Listen for the click sound 2. 30 sec (shutter speed) is the exposure time for u to draw the light since. 3. U do the setup in a completely dark room. Since the torchlight is...

Can D60 use Nikon lens 70-300G?

What will you be using the lens for? Without AF, usage of the lens on your body may be very limited. I feel that saving a bit more for the 55-200VR would give you more keepers unless u shoot more on the far end.

[extreme boredom] my trashbin loves me

Get the August issue of Digital Photo Magazine.Think its just on sale. There is a step by step guide on how to do it. Basically u need a tripod, torchlight, plenty of time and creativity. The magazine makes it look so easy. But I think it will probably take plenty of trial and errors to get a...

    Crumpler users~~

I have the 7 million dollar home also. Though the bag itself is water resistant, if you dont close the top flap properly, water may sip in from the side if it rains heavily. Those who own the bag should know what I am talking about. Thats the one thing I dont like about the bag.
