    whoa, didn't know PT Photo aka Alan Photo. So, it should be safe to get from them? If factor in all those cash rebates, the final cost should be about 2.6k which is reasonable, is it not? if it's still cheaper at the afore mentioned shops, do give a tinker ;)

    Yes, i think it could have been caused by the filter and lack of hood. Have to test it out again to verify. Thanks everyone for your comments and suggestions.

    I'm thinking more of wildlife & fauna - safari, zoo, parks. The 55-300 seems to be a good option, if i get the lowest price band one, but the longer reach seems so tempting. :bsmilie:
