    Thank you for the reply... I went back to the shop and the salesperson explained it to me as well. Did you notice the taut while zooming? Especially during the 180mm-270mm range? it loosened after i played with the lens... :bsmilie:

    Tamron AF18-270mm/3.5-6.3

    I bought my Tammy yesterday at $718... Had a lot of fun taking the photos but the lens creep creeped me out a bit last night... HAHAH went back to DDE... Should have read this thread first... :P As mentioned, there is stiffness in the middle of the barrel but the taut of the zoom barrel...
