I'm thinking of getting a manual film slr, just starting out with slrs. Can anyone tell me how much a 2nd hand FM2 or FM2n should be costing? As a gauge when I go camera hunting. I've already found one that's mint going for 480, wondering whether it's too pricey!

Great, thanks for your advice. After much prying and tweaking I managed to get the thing open, there was some corrosion but interestingly enough there was no wire connected to the battery terminal. I figure this is waay beyond me so I thinks I shall send it to objectifs or something

Yupp the aperture settings aren't manual. Which is a little annoying. Is there a possibility that the corrosion went deeper? Otherwise I'm sure the guy at the camera shop would've said that it was just the battery contacts that needed changing right!

Oh cool really? I could replace the battery terminals? See I've already gone and bought myself a new lomo but I like the old ones cos the aperture can be adjusted. Any tips on how to replace the terminals??
