Oh interestingly, after about half an hour or so... my batt deck seems ok already. Phew...... I was just so afraid that it might get too hot till it explode or sorts.;p Urmmm.. alright, seems like my 60D batt charger is working all fine now. Phew... :confused:

Pals, do you guys face this problem??? When I charge my batt for 60D , the charger gets realllllly hot. Its not just the batt thats hot, but the charger deck too! Can you guys advise if this is normal???? I dont face this issue on my previous 500D batt charger :dunno:

I would definately say "Bring BOTH". And yup, like what other pals have mentioned, you will not regret bringing your DSLR to other countries. I brought my heavy DSLR to Japan and Europe, and the photos turn out much better than the compact ones. Of cos, there are times you get so tired carrying...
