    DBS/POSB Security Compromised

This happened in Malaysia few years back.. The countermeasure taken by banks was to introduce ATM cards & ATM machines that read the smart-chip instead of the magnetic strip, all ATM cards in Malaysia were replaced with cards with the smart-chip. I guess banks in Singapore would need to take...

Qns: To get Leica X1 or to wait ?

Hi Bro.. if it doesn't have to be Leica, then perhaps the Fujifilm X100 would be a better choice at the moment.. f2.0 lens, video function, viewfinder.. could always upgrade to the X1 successor when it is released..;) Here's a link to a comparison table on dpreview Cheers, Andrew

Sigma lens mold more easily ???

Was your friend talking about the rubber part of focus/zoom ring? Maybe what he saw was dried sweat or stuff stuck in or around the grooves? I'd say all lenses would be the same and if frequently used or cleaned before storage, shouldn't have such problems. Cheers, Andrew

Portable Storage ? anyone still using them ?

Hi Bro.. would really be interested to know how this works as I intend to get an external backup device too. Would you kindly explain how you can backup to the external hdd without comp please? IIRC for my cam, I'd need to purchase the wireless transmitter grip for this to work. Cheers, Andrew

    Anyone tried Vibram Fivefingers ?

Hi Bros.. I'm interested to try out the Treksport / Bikila for running.. but I'd really need to wear socks as my leg tends to sweat a lot. Anyone tried these shoes with normal toe socks before? I'm thinking it might be too thick and might cause fitting to be too tight. Anyone with experience...

    Filter

Hi Bro Henry.. I think you're referring to GND (hard/soft) and ND filters. CPL is a polarizing filter and even though it does reduce approximately 2 stops of light, I found that an ND filter still does the job better. Because sometimes when using the CPL, some colors become more/less...

Is one single 50mm F1.4 on FF enough for a light travel lens kit?

50mm is a little too tight for my liking especially when travelling. I like it wider so Canon's EF24mm f2.8 is on my cam most of the time when I'm travelling. I've got the 24-70L too but I usually choose not to bring when travelling coz of the size and weight (gotta carry stuff for the wifey...
