Thanks for the tips... will give the low light focusing technique a try. Kind of weird that they omit the AF illuminator. It is almost a standard feature in most if not all compacts. Wonder why Oly leave this out.

simply amazing photos and without PP that is simply awesome. how did you get your cam to "stay alive" in those sub zero temp. i was in NY last year during winter and my cam just shuts down after a while.
This is the most emotional thread I have come across... the photos speak a thousand words... such powerful photos. It makes one think how fortunate we are, and yet sometimes we still complain of our "lack".

The non OS version seems to have macro capability. Does this slow down the autofocus of the lens?
Yeah... the Sony version is great but the price just puts me off... pocket not so deep :(
I heard for Sony mount we do not really need the OS version since we have SSS on body. Any comments?
