    D800

well, one good thing i think that can be gotten out of a 36MP is the amount you can crop out and still keep the photo look okay, possibly greatly reducing the need for anything more than 200mm... but that's just an out of the box thinking...

    How to charge per photo?

Hi, I am working for a music company, and my boss decided to pay me extra for my photography, but wishes to pay me per photo used for publicity rather than per hour of photography done. Both him and I are not sure what the market rates are so I'm hoping I can get some advice on what the market...

Photographic Expedition to SW United States (September 17)

Hi! I just came back from a 3 week long SW USA road trip, and i must say that some of the locations you've chosen are really good. I'd like to add in one more national park that i think is the best USA can offer - Yosemite National Park, very famous for it's waterfalls (although by now they'll...

    Docklands, Melbourne

I dont use HDR, and so i cant comment on the HDR effects, but from a more basic photography point of view, i feel that the lights are too bright, and there's a lack in contrast between the lights and other objects, so there is this "hazy" feel to the photo. Otherwise, pretty nice attempt! I like...

Sierra Nevada on a Moonlit Night

    1. in what area is critique to be sought? Anything possible! 2. what one hopes to achieve with the piece of work? Hmm, maybe mystique? But as a musician i prefer the "beauty lies in the eye of the beholder" mentality, let all viewers have their free way of appreciating this photo, and i...

    problem with exporting using lightroom

Hi, recently i noticed that when i export JPEG file after editing a RAW file, the end product looks extremely different from the one in the editing screen. Waterfall from the roof of IFC tower

zoom in yes, move camera's view upwards no(: basically as long as the roof is lower than the centre of the frame, it will automatically move down when you zoom in, laws of transformation (:

Waterfall from the roof of IFC tower

i'm just trying to give everyone a new perspective to the IFC tower, not trying to tell a story or what, to me artistic photography is about producing an image that cannot be seen from a human eye's perspective! (:
