I dont own any cameras right now and usually dont purchase camera that comes with kit since I prefer d.i.y (f2.8 or below) to suit my needs. Rumor that D800 is coming out this summer, so am considering investing on a FX body and lenses.

Im more incline on putting my money on lenses but considering the fact that d7000 has a crop factor of 1.6, seriously minimizing the maximum usefulness of the len if focus length between 70-105 is missing here.

Am I right to say that with the nikon VR II telephoto 70-200mm len mounted on a D7000, the focus length range will be equivalent to 105-300mm, can someone pls verify?
