Hi, my D80 has similar symptoms. Sometimes it'll take pictures and cycle through the sequence several times, other times I just get the 'Err' display. Did you by any chance take pictures of what you did?

Hello, Like many others I found this thread after my D80 started flashing the Err message. I had not used the camera for just over a year, it has been stored dry and was working fine when I put it away, but today the Err displayed as soon as I pressed the shutter button. But I am wondering...
