    Try the nissin flash. There are also others third party one with E-TTL like Tumax and some models of YongNuo. But if it's your first and primary flash, i think it pays to invest in a Canon one. From there on, you can better appreciate the pros and cons of third party flashes.

    YongNuo Speedlite YN560

    Read that it states that the power level should be as strong as the 580 but test with preproduction unit showed that it was weaker. About the same level as 460II. I cannot find any more test result for the production unit that they are selling now. This is a strobist flash. No TTL. Manual. But...
