    For those wearing transition lens

I wear transitions too, it's all fine. With EVF there's so many exposure tools anyway. I find blinkies (highlight/shadow warning) the most useful; histograms in EVFs are usually either too small or too big that they become distracting.

EVF shaking when half press shutter

IIRC no cameras change your aperture on half press shutter (they remain wide open and only stop down when you press the shutter down fully, except Sony mirrorless cameras that stop down as you change the aperture so you have permanent DOF preview - someone correct me on this if I'm wrong)...

    Decisive Moment: How to anticipate?

I'm not very good at it, but I would say, think like your subject. Observe your subject, then think, if you were your subject, what would you do next? I always tend to get distracted and try to shoot everything, but the key IMO is to take a step back, slow down and think. If you practice enough...

Seeking advice: mirrorless or entry level small DSLR?

I don't think that one will fit the budget. $600 probably can get the body with kit lens, but probably not a prime? Not sure how much a Sigma 19/2.8 is 2nd hand, but I don't think it's less than $100? If can stretch budget a bit I think can. But I agree with the recommendation. OMD line is the...

what to do with Tamron 17-50 & 18-270

Yes there are other UWA alternatives but the 10-18 STM is one of the best optically, and it is also the cheapest, and offers IS. For the Canon system I can only recommend Canon 10-18, or Tokina 11-16 f2.8 (only if a wider aperture is needed). The rest do not make sense IMO because they are more...

what to do with Tamron 17-50 & 18-270

    1) Keeping lenses current - no such thing. Keeping camera body current maybe, but your lenses aren't bad 2) Practice using another lens - you can get the 10-18 but I wouldn't recommend dumping the 18-270 because I find tele to be useful for events especially when you have lots of crap in the...

Olympus users: How to take pictures when I'm alone?

Yeah there's a Olympus Image Share app that allows you to trigger your camera via wifi (smartphone). Kind of a stupid name for the app because "image share" sounds like it just downloads the pictures from your camera then upload them. In reality there's a wireless trigger mode as well, though I...
