Yes prosumer camera is very limited for the creativity. Now you know why you must move to the slr. .... It's depend how you use the camera. For me 40D is enough. My profession is photographer, I'm sure I can earn money from 40D (with a good lens of course). Ok, have a happy buying new...

Why don't you try make another shoot on the same object with your FZ50 + 400D. And show us the result. .... Anyway you can see the camera setting in the exif data, so other people can help analyze your picture . Tx

Actually I don't like the light direction (comes from below model's face). It's standard lighting for horror film. Observe to the model's eyes, the light point are very distracting. Earing color too strong. For last effort, give more fill in light on the left side model, white...
