i just came back from a 8-day trip with my G10 so far so good, battery can last quite long, with digital playback/viewing & some flash only thing i hope for is wider screen my friend has the latest LUMIX? & it can take more in one shot compared to mine end up my friend always say...

when is the right time & right price to get e-gadget? questions i ask myself frequently when there's a new model or a need to replace current item or another sale or IT fair there is never the best time to get, from experience (shared by many, i believe) prices tend to drop after some time...

e-gadgets these days are just not meant to last personally, i won't spend more than 25% to repair anything below $1000

every bag will eventually wear & tear under normal circumstances, pay for more, last longer no secret about it i own 2 deuter backpack since 2000, still going strong, zipper etc still working well

ok, don't want to wait till SITEX anyway, no response from those on the list as well will be getting this on my own :D compared against other P&S camera, G10 feels right, i suppose moving from IXUS from 3.2 to5 to 14.7 = familiarity with program etc may add RD2000 to my shopping...

what happen to this list? still on? am interested in getting G10 :D travelling on 29 Nov not sure if i should wait for SITEX 27 Nov? or just get it this weekend? of course, the only reason for waiting is hoping for freebies :D
