I was also considering between Canon and Pentax, but after reading the reviews, I got a EOS 7D yesterday. This is my first DSLR camera. Previously I was using Lumix DMC FZ5 for the simple reason that it was what I could afford at the time. Prior to that I was using Nikon SLRs.
