So glad to hear that only older batches have this problem. But how do i tell whether the one that i will be getting is not from the old batch? Is there anyway to tell by looking at the camera?e.g. serial number or something? Thanks in advance to everyone!:)

Planning to get a 400d next week, but lots of considerations to be done after reading this thread. Does it mean that i have to pre set the camera every time i want to take a picture?This can be exhaustive.Anyway, i am a total newbie to DSLRs. Any advice are welcome..thanks.
