Hi nemesis, Hubby n I just went to the same areas as what you planned in march/apr for 20 days incl flight time. Our itinerary in order: 3 days SF (incl 1 day tour to Yosemite), drive down along the coast, 1 day Muir woods, gilroy, 1 day Monterey 1 day Cambria 3 days LA (2D Disneyland)...

Don't use the built in lock, go buy the TSa travel strap so dat u can strap ard ur luggage.. But I realised in the States, not many ppl care to lock their luggages with any locks or straps..
