Thanks for your feedback. I also feel no strong contrast but how to make the background more differentiate from the target? Still not sure to play with DOF.:what: OK. Just check it's taken at F5.6 1/30" 200FL with auto/P mode. Am I right that if I change Fstop lower/higher and increase speed...

    Second hand or not?

I have just got a 2nd hand DSLR. I will get a 2nd hand with a period of warranty long enough for me to test out the camera (in case any problem still can send in for repair). Exterior can be inspected by yourself but internal or functional parts has to be tested. Shutter count prefer to be <10K...

what lend combo would u pick for a D80?

Hi, thanks for the tips. Nice pic taken. Are you taking with a tripod and remote shutter? If not, you must have a very steady hand to hold the len and body while shooting.

    d40x or d80

IMHO. If you can afford, D80 should be the choice. Else D40/40x is fine. Dun really think the AF-S lens are a limitation. If I'm the manufacturer, I will start to manufacture more AF-S lens which serves all cameras range than others (bigger market share). So I think there wouldn't be difficulty...

Thank you for your advise.:) How to do a reverse mount? If needed. Beside handling (Single len is better than 2), how about the image quality from these lens? The value for money or the resale value of these 2 packages if I will to upgrade to 18-200VR or others let say in the near future...

what lend combo would u pick for a D80?

Ya. Have read through some recomemdations but not intend to spend too much for a start untill I 'm serious into it. Also, thot it could be more convenient for me to explore one area (short range n long range) at a time. So option 1 or 2, your opinion pls? or other alternatives which I may have...

what lend combo would u pick for a D80?

sorry, 'hijack' your thread for a while.:) If I already have the D80 body w/o lens, which option would you guys recommend: option 1: Buy a 18-135 Kit lens (cost slightly lower) or option 2: Buy a combo of 18-55mm and 55-200 VR (expect to last longer - more coverage) I'm a newbie who like to...
