    Let there be light

With nothing better to do on a rainy, sunday afternoon, I took a shot of a live halogen lamp. *Note the filament imperfection. See inset for scale.

    Random thought

So i got bored at work, wiki-ed "point-and-shoot" and naturally stuff about compact cameras differences to D/SLR's etc etc came up. But i realised it didnt mention the origin of the phrase. So im thinking: Arn't all cameras(stuff that captures still and/or moving images) = point and shoot...

    Help on travel

Simple answer, yes. Not so simple answer, no. This is dependent on the angle and light reflected off. Need to google it. Hard to explain. As for filter thread, I'd personally get a 77mm and several rings so my 77mm can fit any lens that is 77mm and below.

    Help on travel

1st off, i have to say im a minimalist. I bring as few items as possible when im overseas. Flash wise should be sufficient unless yr subject is kinda far. Otherwise, get a small cheapo flash. Reason: break, malfunction, lost, also not so heart pain. Personally, CPL is a must have because i take...

    CPL filter

I'll prolly get a 77mm thread just incase you get another lens. E.g:16-35mm. That way, you save $ by just getting a ring instead of another CPL.

    About Focal Length

Wa. This question need calculator...and im kinda lazy. However... I believe the image from the DSLR is going to suffer very badly. Because the lumix sensor is really very small compared to an APS-C. That means you're gonna crop out a hell lot from it end up with a very pixelated image.

    About Focal Length

Woah boss, take a chill pill. You are thinking too deep man. TS was just asking a theoretical question. TS didn't mention specfically what cameras. So im just postulating. 400mm on an M9? Not likely, but entirely possible.

3 movies you watched 3 times or more.

Shawshank redemption. No high tech CG's No impressive pyrotechnics No 3D

    About Focal Length

Depends on how you define superzoom compact wor. Some small small cameras have same or marginally close sensor size as APS-C. Heck, some of those small cameras come in 35mm! (Im talking about range finders)
