    Singapore Airshow 2014.

Thanks guys for all the useful info. This is my first time going to the air show hence has lots of questions: 1)if i buy tickets for sat or sun, can I actually get to see and shoot the fly past - concern is the crowd and the flat exhibition area. No point just taking pics of the static planes...

    Sunrise/Sunset collections 2013-2014 by chvictor

I love your series on sunrise at changi point. Remember seeing a canon advertisement recently with picture of a long wooden jetty leading towards the sea and at the end of the long jetty is the rising sun. Think its call Perspective. Is there a similar location in changi or spore with similar...

    Illegal parking along narrow roads

Hi fellow cs'ers, I have a general question. Nowadays illegal parking and waiting along narrow 2-way roads are getting out of hand. Just because these are not in CBD areas, the traffic police are hardly seen around. I often take pictures of cars stopping along these narrow roads, when I...

Converting Nikon NEF to DNG files

Looks like my earlier reply did not get sent. Re-post: Tried again using 7.3 version. But still did not work. Error msg is "the folder does not contain any supported camera raw files" Maybe my raw files were damaged during transfer using Nikon transfer. So I reloaded from cam to PC. Still...

Converting Nikon NEF to DNG files

I have difficulties converting NEF files to DNG. Initially I used the Adobe DNG version 6.3 which I have used before for my D90 NEF, it worked well. Now I am using Nikon D600 taken in NEF format, the converter did not work, so I downloaded the latest converter version 7.2, it didn't work either...

NDP Rehearsal 4 Aug 2012 - hits and misses!

Sorry to hijack your thread, anyone know what is the sequence of events for NDP today? ie parajumpers, helicopters with flag, then fighter planes, finally fireworks? Reason is to get ready cam settings before each event (a bit scared loose?)

How best to shoot with heavy lens - hand-held vs tripod

Has 2 tickets to the yellow sector (highest tier) infront of the floating platform. Best would be to bring the tripod along, not sure they allow camera bag and tripod. Hence I thought of the monopod also. For fireworks I will surely require the tripod.

How best to shoot with heavy lens - hand-held vs tripod

Hi, Not sure this is right place to pose my question. The question sounded so basic hence I decided to post it here. Planned to rent a 200-400mm lens to take pictures of the fighter planes flypast this National Day. However the weight would be a problem if hand-held, shaky hands. However if...
