Yes, you should get a ultra wide angle lens as mention by silentseth. I would suggest the Tokina 11-16 F2.8. Everyone should have at least one fast lens. This is just my 2cents thinking.

If you are going for travel I suggest you go for the kit 2 18-135mm (455g) or 18-200mm (595g) with this lens you will have wide to zoom in one lens. It will also keep dust out by not changing lens. As someone commented that 600D (entry) vs 60D (semi pro). It all depend on what you need and...
