Hi, I am currently using the C3040, but is there an alternative flash to the FL40 which is damn ex. I read somewhere about the Promaster or the Vivitar (?) flashes which are TTL compatible... Is this true? Has anyone tried it out before? Also most important, Where can I get these and...

The C3040 which I am getting is a 2nd hand unit but only about 2-3weeks old..so kinda contemplating between this and the Canon A70 which is cheaper and newer. But I like the 3040 for its looks, the price 700 is a bit at the limit for me. Any comments?

Thanks for the reply Umm...is the color of the Olympus C3040 true to life? It seems kinda washed out to me compared to the reviews of the Canon A70, it seems more vibrant...I think the word is saturated....Is this true?

Hi all, Just to check for opinion. For a newbie(ie. ME!) , should I get a C3040 for 700 or bite the bullet and plonk down maybe 1000+ for the c5050 considering that I know very little about digital photography. This camera will just be to get my feet wet and possible to see if I want to go...
