my lens is now ready for pickup but they are not open from 12:30-2PM on weekdays... looks like i need to get time of from work to get it...

i got the same problem. i sent it to canon for repair. spent $70 for it.

that explains it. oh well... that's my price to pay for not storing it in a dry box...

that was my costly mistake. i did not store it in a dry box and fungus grew on the lens. did they quote you 130 before they repaired? i'm hoping that the $200 quote will be reduced. care to share your experience?
