oh yea becos its under warranty so they didn charge me but i'd be wondering if i'm gonna put it to similar usage would the sb600 die on me again. wonder what's the max number of flashes it could fire before burn out.

yup its still under warranty i got it fixed at NSC takes a week and i do not need to pay anything other than the bus fare!

hi i had the same problem in which the sb600 won't fire i brought it down to NSC got it back after one week they didn charge. Only comment on the service slip was flash tube replaced. So finally my sb600 is alive!

i have the same problem of not firing usually when it fires off then u will hear a recharge sound but mine when it fires it juz gives me a tick sound. Mine's still under warrnaty so im unsure if they would charge me similar prices.. sigh!! what bad luck but i did not drop or temper the sb600 juz...

Hi Guys wondering if anyone has the same problem i just returned from my korea trip. I bought a cap diffuser previously was using lightsphere but found it to be to bulky. but while i was trying out the effect using the diffuser cap the sb600 could not flash. Any idea??

The d5000 with a sb600 is heavy enough for the tiny grip of the d5k can't imagine if your mounting it on the d3100. By the end of the day my fingers are already aching. Might as well go for the d90 which comes with AF-motor can save more on the lens. Just a Thought.
