Wow, I love the simplicity. I just translated an article about simplicity in Digital Camera Magazine UK for Digital Camera Magazine Indonesia. This is exactly what the magazine explained!
I like the coloured version better than the mono version. IMHO, the mono version is rather dull. You can use Channel Mixer to create stunning BW pictures.
Hi, this picture was taken from the Merlion sometimes in 2005 (or 2006) using Canon PowerShot A640. I deliberately using manual focus to create out of focus image of the building lights of Singapore. Comments welcome.
BTW, I'm Indonesian so posting image of Singapore can be counted as...
1. You should use ND grads to overcome the overexposure on the street and some of the building area while maintain the sky.
3. Why don't you use smaller aperture? f/11 for example. It will create starry effect on lights.
4. That's why you need ND grads filters.
Anyone have experienced this? I have a Canon 30D. Now, whenever I pressed the shutter, the camera won't instantly took picture. I got to pressed it a little while, or repressed it. BTW, the camera still focusing well.
Anyone knows why? I want to know the reason before going to the service...
The color is not natural. Look at the sky and the shadows area in the bride's dress. It's bluish and the contrast is to high. In term of composition, you place the object too center. And the crane in the sky is so annoying.
