    thank you sunnycamera, i have used that technique on my kr with success. but when i try it on my k01, it doesnt work. maybe i have to adjust something on the menus... my settings (video): exposure setting - m movie capture setting - hd 24fps recording sound level movie sr on

    i used my old k10d for the lens hack, then tried it on my kr. worked great. before the hack, my kr cant focus the 50-135. but now, its treating the 50-135 like any other FA lens! haha. good thing i didnt try to sell the 50-135 before. pentax is just so full of surprises!

    How to deactivate SDM and allow for screw drive autofocus with DA* 16-50mm f/2.8 - PentaxForums.com tried it on my da*50-135 with a dead sdm... and it worked like a charm! now the lens is using screw drive AF on my kr.
