i own a 15-85 and compared to 17-85 belonging to my colleague using my 7D, the results pretty much different. Hence the price.

Canon body does not come with International warranty. Canada's price definitely much more expensive compared to Singapore especially with the GST & PST on. Btw, when you buy from Singapore, don't forget to claim the GST from airport, it save you some bucks for Tim Horton's coffee :cool:
