I noticed my R6 would trigger the shutter automatically, even if the camera is powered off; as in, the power switch is in the 'OFF' position. It's kind of random and happens for no particular rhyme or reason. Any one else here encountered this?

Does it display the "ETTL" symbol when it is connected to the camera body? Try clearing the custom function settings of the speedlite, as well as cleaning the hot shoe connections on the camera and the flash.
