    Problem with focusing

Here's my new attempt with an X in the center to help focusing. The X has been digitally removed in this image. Taken with f/16. I realise that gave the entire bookmark more clarity. Any lower and the top and bottom starts to blur. First time using Manual Exposure mode. Pretty fun. Uneven...

I think I'm going for the cross then heal it away in PS. I'm shooting a product which I'm selling which is a plain bookmark. Thanks a bunch. Why didn't I think of that?

    Problem with focusing

I'm using the Sony SAL-50M28 macro lens with a Sony alpha 350. I'm trying to shoot a 140mm x 40mm white piece of paper in front of a white background. Everything is very white. On autofocus mode, it never finds the focus, so I'm using manual. The shooting distance is about 45cm. Because...

How to take such photos (equipment, lens, etc needed)

Thanks for all the reply guys. I'm interested in getting the gear because personally I'm interested in photography as well. As for lighting, I used to play with planted aquariums and I sort of know lighting right down to the almost scientific level. I have a 4ft 4-tube T5 fixture with 4 7000 -...

How to take such photos (equipment, lens, etc needed)

Thanks for the help. I just ordered a light tent in one of the mass orders here. Although it's fun to DIY I'll just buy a proper one to save time. What kind of lights would you recommend and how about achieving a uniform, diffused light so there are no shadow? is lighting from both top and side...

    More fonts for CS2

For Asian fonts, try Montoya (Google it). The best-looking fonts are definitely paid ones though. I usually buy from foundries like T26.com and from Adobe and Linotype.
