Got mine for $125 with my 60D last month... and then the $60 promo came... ouch...

I've been using my G7 for the past month, so far haven't noticed any dust showing up in the pictures. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Meanwhile, do update us on Canon's solution to the problem. If there's a recall to rectify the issue, I'm sure most users will send in theirs.

For the G7's iso 800 and 1600, it's about as noisy as my old A70's iso 400, so for my case I already have a larger usable iso range to play with, not much complaints. If we are not printing large sizes, full 10.1mp at iso 1600 can be resized to a smaller dimension, which should reduce the noise...

I think it can be covered by warranty, if you can argue enough that it affects your picture quality.

Got my G7 at $860 including GST, standard package with extra 1GB SD card. Excluding the extra 3rd party battery which is another $30.

For that kind of battery size, I'm rather sceptical of its claims of 1600mAh. And at that price, sounds too good to be true. Eastgear's is 850mAh? That's not too bad, considering Canon's original is 720mAh. Got mine from MS Color together with my G7, $30 for 650mAh. A little low capacity, but...

If the file is a WMA (not mp3) and is encoded in very high bitrate, it will not play, cos it's meant to be played on the PC. The other possibility could be copyright problem.

Do they support Unicode? It's frustrating when you want to edit tags for Chinese songs but the tag editor doesn't support.
