Bangkok >> Any good places to catch the sunrise?

Hi buddies, on my previous trip to Bangkok, I managed to go up to the Baiyoke Sky and State Tower to take the beautiful Bangkok sunset. Just wondering if any of you have any recommended places to go to for Bangkok sunrise? I was told its equally stunning as well.

Looking for a shop that sells the WG-3

Hi and greetings to Pentax forum members. I'm currently looking for a weatherproof, ie, tough camera for an upcoming trip to Taman Negara, possibly a hike up Gunung Tahan. I've decided on the Pentax WG-3 based on the camera's good reviews and also its retail price. The trouble is, I can't...

    Taipei Photoshoot

The view as you ride up the Maokong Gondola is awesome. It gets better when you reach the summit! Danshui and Fisherman's Wharf just before sunset is also beautiful.

Taking photos of night market street vendors in Taiwan?

Wow! Thanks a lot guys! I'll probably play safe and take pics of street vendors whom I patronise. Which means I'm gonna bust my waist when I come back! Oh well, for the sake of learning photography, some sacrifice is needed :)

    [Hong Kong]

Very nice and fantastic shots! I'll be there this Sunday. Are the HK people ok with being snapped on the streets? Saw that pic with that fish shop owner looking at you. Scary. Is it possible to take a photo of sunrise at the TST promenade?

    Panning

Hi everyone, I recently got addicted to shuttle speed effects, and I'm learning how to do panning. However, me being a clumsy oaf, my output has been horrible. Can any expert help put up a detailed guide on this technique? The other sources I found just give very superficial instructions...

    Preparation for overseas trip

As a photo novice, I can't comment on the lenses of course, but as a regular visitor to HK (for personal and work reasons), my experience with HK people is that they have issues with someone taking a photograph of them without permission. The paparazi press there are absolutely brazen (imagine...

I'm curious to know if any Clubsnappers participated in the current reality show "The Big Shot" now showing every Tuesday night on Ch5. It was an interesting learning experience for a learner like me.

    Greeting

May I ask where do I get a glossary of the acronyms used in the forum, eg, TS, RPP, ND etc etc? The discussion can get a bit jargonic at times.
